In the SEO and web industry, people are always looking to be the first to coin a new buzzword.    Full Sail Online University has done just that in their new offering to get  your B.A. as web traffic controller as it relates to an SEO professional.

Web Traffic Controllers are nothing new in the IT Industry.   Generally it has referred to the way website and internet traffic is controlled and its flow path within your network.  Example, where do visitors come and go once they are on your site or in your network.

I found it pretty interesting tonight to see the Full Sail’s “Web Traffic Controller” degree and very humorous, but it is of course in a sense what we do.     I really hope the title web traffic controller sticks because SEO professional or Search Engine Marketing is just so lame.

Now, we can be people who control the web traffic.    Some of us take the business further than others, perhaps we should be web traffic masters.    I personally prefer Internet Dominator.   Perhaps women in the field can be Web Traffic Dominatrix?
