Getting your content syndicated in Google News is no simple task. Google News has some pretty straight forward requirements when it comes to their news product. Once you get listed in Google News however, you will see a whole new userbase you’ve never had before and yes, it will benefit your website tremendously.
Maintaining your Google News inclusion is just as difficult as obtaining it. You must run a very tight news based website or blog that already has mild popularity and relevance. Getting to that point is one of the most difficult procedures that takes a tremendous time investment that you have to be dedicated to over a long period of time.
How can I get my website into Google News?
The answer to this question is extremely obvious. Turn your website into a news provider or create a new website that delivers news to your industry. If you are trying to have you business website included, you are fighting an uphill battle you may never win.
Google does not allow websites that promote their specific products or services to be included, that’s what the Google Search is for. Google News is strictly a news based service.
How do I make my website a news website suitable for Google News?
Abandon everything you have done in the past to promote your own products. If you’re wesbite domain is “KylesWidgetStore.Com”, you can forget about it. Unless you are running an informative blog that is newsworthy or of community interest already, you’re probably going to have to start over.
What is considered news?
News is news, of course. Frequently written articles about local events, industry happenings and people. Interviews with newsworthy individuals is a great source of news. Reviews about products and services loosely fits the news criteria. Opinions and editorials are acceptable news content.
When should I submit my website to Google News?
After you have been providing a steady flow of newsworthy information for atleast several months should you consider submitting your website to Google News. They will check your content, check your writers and check you relevance.
